So I don’t die.
There’s no unusual wear on the rotors/pads so that’s good.
Time to diagnose ABS electronics, yaaay.

Easier if you have a scan tool that can read abs codes. Mine was the pedal position sensor (in the brake booster) after I changed all the wheel speed sensors.

I’m grateful my Miata has been very reliable. But a e36 M3 is way more sexy than a NA Miata.

Probably a malfunctioning wheel speed sensor. The only way to find which one is to get under the hood with the BMW specific 20-pin OBD connector. The OBDII port under the dash can only read codes from the engine module. The codes you're looking for will be in the body/chassis module.

At least you have nice weather to work with.

Not sure if you have the same issue, but the HEMIWagon has the ABS and ESP/BAS lights going off because the Steering Angle Sensor needs to be replaced. 9/10 times it’s the Wheel Speed Sensor, but if you have a Steering Angle Sensor, consider that as well.
The moment I get to doing a motor swap in the Magnum, ABS is going bye-bye.
